The basic troubleshooting to repair Error Code 12002-4 is to change your network from WI-FI to LAN and check.

There are cases where the user’s computer is on a Proxy network. The easy way to disable the proxy network is to follow the below instructions.

Step 1: Open a Run window and then type INETCPL.CPL and click OK

Step 3: Select LAN SETTINGS and Disable the checkbox which says ” Use a Proxy Server for LAN”

NOTE: Some Internet connections would require Proxy settings to be ON to access the Internet.

  2. Click Programs and Features.
  3. Click the Office program you want to repair, and then click Change.
  4. Do one of the following:
  • In Office 2010, click Repair > Continue.
  • In Office 2013, click  Quick Repair.
