  1. Click on windows key
  2. Search for command prompt or cmd
  3. Right click and run the command prompt as administrator.
  4. If prompted for administrator password or confirmation click password or click allow.
  5. Once the command prompt is open, type the following command and click enter

                     SFC /SCANNOW

The SFC /SCANNOW command will scan and verify all protected system files in the computer and restore the corrupted files with the cached copy on the computer located at %WinDir%\System32\dllcache which represents windows system folder.

Note: Do not close the command prompt until the verification is 100% complete.

  1. Check whether Error code 30126-4 is fixed once the SFC scan is completed.

To manually remove duplicate office contents:
  1. Open %program files%
  2. Navigate to Program files > Microsoft Office
  3. Then delete Microsoft Office 15, Microsoft Office 16 and Microsoft Office folders
  4. Open %program files(x86)%
  5. Navigate to Microsoft Office
  6. Then delete Microsoft Office 15, Microsoft Office 16 and Microsoft Office folders
Remove previous Office keys manually:
  1. Open registry editor
  2. Navigate to below keys

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Click to Run



  1. Delete the keys

Steps to Download and install Microsoft Office.

Open Microsoft Office My Account

Sign in to Office My Account

Click on Download and Install Office program

Run the Office installer
