 Error Code 30170-4 Description: Something went wrong, we ran into a problem while looking for updates. this may cause due to update issues.

Solution For Error Code 30170-4:

error code 30170-4 usually occurs if a second installation of Office was started before the first installation has finished or if you restart your computer before the current Office installation was finished.

Please follow bellow steps for basic troubleshooting:

Windows 7

  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Programs and Features.
  2. Click your Microsoft Office program, and then click Change.
  3. Select Online Repair, and then click Repair.

After the Online Repair process is complete, you should be able to use your Office 2013 applications.

Windows 8

  1. From the Start screen, type Control Panel, and then tap or click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  2. Select your Microsoft Office program, and then click Change.
  3. Select Online Repair, and then click Repair.

After Online Repair process is complete, you should be able to use your Office 2013 applications.

Is your problem solved?

If Online Repair does not resolve this issue, or if you do not see Office 365 or Office 2013 or Office 2016 in Programs and Features, follow these steps:
1) Remove Office 2016 or Office 2013 or Office 365.
2) Restart the computer.
3)Reinstall Office 2016 or Office 2013 or Office 365.

Type in the product key and click on Setup It will ask you to login to your Microsoft account. So that the new installation is associated with your Microsoft Account. Hence it is not required to keep the product key for the future use. It will be added to your Microsoft Account. Follow the below steps to complete the installation

 

 

 

Now you are good to use the new Office 2013 or Office 365.
